This wonderful and early painting of Mt. Rainier at Noonday is one of a pair painted on what appears to be a decorative hammered copper stove vent pipe cover (see below). The small brushstrokes, mossy rocks and delicate working of paint reflect her learnings from her only teacher, William Samual Parrott.
