This was the chair Mrs. Barchus sat in to paint, as documented in the photograph showing her siting in it while painting two small Mt. Shasta paintings in her studio. (See Portrait of Artist – Age ~47.) The chair was kept by Agnes Barchus until she sold the family art collection to Mr. Joe Erdelac, a Cleveland, Ohio, art collector. The chair has subsequently returned to a northwest owner.
