Oil on Slate 4 x 8 7/8 (painted service only)

This painting is unusual in both its scenic composition and the non-standard slate rock surface that it is painted on.  Mt. St. Helens, in her symmetrical “ice cream cone” beauty, is obviously the snow capped mountain in the background but from what vantage point Mrs. Barchus painted it from is not known.
