Glacier: Trick Falls (Running Eagle Falls)
Oil on Art Board   10 x 5
The official name of this waterfall in East Glacier National Park is Running Eagle Falls. During low water flow periods, the water rushes from a cavern through the rocks where it’s mouth is located at the base of the taller narrow falls. However, when water flow is high, the top portion of the falls becomes active, as depicted in this Barchus painting. The appearance that the falls changes it’s water source has given it the nickname of Trick Falls.
