This was the chair Mrs. Barchus sat in to paint, as documented in the photograph indexed in this website as Portrait of Artist #4. The chair was held in the family until most of the remaining artist’s collection was sold to Mr. Joe Erdelac of Cleveland, Ohio. It has subsequently returned to a northwest owner.
