Mt Rainier #4
Oil on Art Board 9 1/2Â x 11 1/2
This painting, with a beautiful waterfall on the left side which provides balance to the large tree on the right, is a unique Mt. Rainier painting by Barchus. It is also an early work by her. On the panel’s reverse she wrote “Mt Rainier WT 14,444 feet high.” As Washington did not become a U.S. State until 1889, this painting predates that date.
