Barchus built this large home on 918 East Salmon Street in 1908. Possibly because of the higher than expected construction cost, the family did not live at this residence long, moving to their next home in 1910. This house still stands in southeast Portland, but has now been converted into a duplex. This image is from a photograph postcard.
