Barchus visited Yosemite in 1914. A paper price sheet is affixed to the back of the art board which lists prices for select scenery at various sizes. A 6.50 x 8.50 painting listed for $3.50 while her largest size – 40.00 x 50.00 was $150.00. Barchus also marked the reverse with an ink stamp impression that reads: E. R. Barchus / The Oregon Artist / 546(?) E 27th St. / Portland Oregon. Many years later, she became officially named the Oregon Artist.
