Business Cards

With addresses noted, three cards can be given approximate dates for when they were in use. The earliest card is at top with the 145 1/2 Third Street address where Mrs. Barchus had her first art studio (ca. 1886-1893). She was in the Multnomah Block address circa 1898. She was at the 546 East Twenty-Seventh St. off and on after 1906. This last address was later changed to 2804 SE 27 after the City of Portland re-addressed much of the city in 1934. It has not been determined when she had a studio at the Hotel Portland Court, but it opened to the public in 1890. The card that simply has Portland, Oregon, was likely early, as her name is in similar (but not identical) font as the early two cards.
