The subject matter of this unfinished painting has not been identified. The distance is complete well enough to tell us that it is not of a mountain. It has the resemblance of Crater Lake, but the colorful clouds would be unusual for her as she normally did that scene in pure blue skies with just a dash of white clouds. Possibly an early morning scene somewhere on the Columbia River?
