Correspondence – National Academy of Design, New York

Eliza R. Barchus - Correspondence #1

The postmark of this envelope is not legible. However, it contents the original (and unused) entry form for the National Academy of Design’s Seventy-First Annual Exhibition which would open in New York City on March 30, 1896. There is no extant record that indicates Mrs. Barchus exhibited her work that year; she is not listed in the Design’s catalogue of the exhibit.
